Supplemental Investigation Report
Mississippi Belle

After setup, the investigation started with Josh and I in the banquet room upstairs. Josh had a digital recorder with boom mike and I had the IR thermometer. I got a base temperature of the room of about 82 degrees. Just under the chandelier in the middle of the room, it was about 3-4 degrees cooler.
While we were there, Cathy, a staff member came in and turned off the air conditioning in that room so we would not get false readings. We sat under the chandelier and I used the dousing rods to ask questions of any entities present. These are the subsequent questions and answers: Are you a male? No. Did you ever work here? Yes. Did you own the business? Yes. Are you the only entity in the room with us? No. Is the other entity female? Yes. Did you both work here at the same time? No. Do you like what the current owners have done with the business? Yes. Do you stay here to look after the customers? No. Do you have unfinished business here? Yes.
While we sat there, Josh and I observed lights moving about the room. We watched the headlights from passing cars to determine where those lights moved on the wall and saw that often the lights we saw were closer to the floor below the area of the windows. We also both saw a three foot shadow move along the wall, under the table and amongst the chairs. I sensed an older woman who I believe may have been the old business owner dressed in a white blouse and long skirt. The number 63 popped into my head and I thought it might be the woman’s age. I also sensed a younger woman dressed in the garb of a Victorian maid in a black gown, white apron and a white mop cap. I got the number 24 associated with her.
At one point, Josh said he heard a soft tapping in the corner where we had a camcorder placed. He tried to recreate the sound by moving things on the table, but could not.
Judy came up to see us and we took another trip around the room. Both Judy and I then detected another presence behind the bar. I thought it was male.
We joined Tim in the dining room and he said that several team members were “attacked” in one of the three basements in a room that one of the owners felt terribly uncomfortable in. He asked us to come down there to investigate what could be down there. Josh and I were instantly fascinated and went downstairs.
The room was small with large wooden shelves all along the back wall. I felt heaviness in my chest and the air felt very dense. I sensed hostility and fear. The three of us started provoking the entity there to show himself and try going after one of us. I then sensed confusion from the entity. All of us reported being touched or having our shirts tugged on. At this point, the infrared thermometer that I was carrying got knocked out of my hand and wouldn’t work afterward.
I then sensed the presence of a second entity in the back corner of the room. That entity seemed to be emanating the fear I felt. I sensed a thin man tied to a chair with several cotton dishtowels, bloody and in pain. The other entity seemed to be a small bald man with beady eyes and rotting teeth. He was wearing a cheap looking suit fashionable in the 30’s and holding a club or baseball bat. I related all of this to Tim and Josh and we started provoking the “attacker” again. It was at this point on Tim’s recorder that I heard a soft high-pitched voice say, “Help”. We backed up to give the entity more space to move around and Tim reported seeing and feeling something move past him several times. Tim continued to provoke the “attacker” and on his recorder, I caught a low growl that seemed to say, “Shut up!” and a couple minutes later, heard another growl. We then all witnessed flashes of light in several areas of the room. There were no windows and no one took any pictures or turned on any flashlights.
When provoking the “attacker” directly didn’t seem to work anymore, we turned our attention to the “victim” to give him our attention instead. On Tim’s recorder, I heard a dragging noise and a whisper. Josh and I sensed the torment of this entity and Tim started telling the victim that he could escape if he wished to. On Tim’s recorder at this moment, I heard a sigh, “Oh”. I don’t think any of us intended to do any clearing or cleansing but we continued to encourage the “victim” to let go, break away and cross over. I heard another sigh, “Ah” and another growl that sounded like “Out!” After a few minutes, both Josh and I exclaimed that we felt like we were floating and the feelings of torment and fear were gone. I did not sense the presence of the “victim” in that room anymore. It seemed to defeat the “attacker” at least somewhat and I didn’t feel the presence of the “attacker” as strongly. We then left the room.
Tim, Josh and I went back upstairs to the dining room and Tim left his recorder on a nearby table while he went to confer with Judy. During this time, the recorder picked up two loud exhales and soft females voice that said, “Tim!”
Josh and I then spent some time in the kitchen where Josh fixed the infrared thermometer. Josh thought he saw a shadow in the corner near the ceiling. At one end of the food preparation counter nearest the door, I kept getting the sensation as though someone put the heel of the palm of their hand against my forehead and pushed gently. Because of the heat of the oven and the noise of fans and refrigerators, it was difficult to determine paranormal activity from normal kitchen activity.
Tim then asked us to go back down to the same basement again. Tim and Nate stood by the stairway and Josh and I stood at the other end of the hall near a door to the office. The door was blocked on the other side by boxes and so was inaccessible. All four of us experienced tugs on our shirts or feelings of someone brushing past us. I felt someone blowing on my arm from the wall. We all saw more flashes of light in that hallway. I did not sense anything malicious. I sensed an entity that had never worked there and had an association with the river. This entity seemed helpful and friendly to me.
I put my hand on the door to the office because I felt as though there was a strong energy behind that door. Tim said I could go upstairs and go down to the other basement access to the office.
I took Jessica with me and we found JJ and Erin there checking on temperature differences in the room. I sat in the desk chair and was overcome with dizziness. JJ said she had been communicating with the entity down there and that he had told her to tell me not to get up or I would pass out. I sat in the chair for a few more minutes and then used the thermometer to document the differences in temperature. The normal base temperature in the room was 78 degrees. When I held the thermometer near the base of the desk, it dropped to 71.8 degrees. We found no vents or sources of the cold spot. It only seemed to be that cold on that side of the room facing the inaccessible door to the hallway.
Josh and I then went upstairs to the dining room where we joined Judy at table 11. Judy observed the needle on the compass set there move slightly even though the compass itself and the table were not moved.
Erin and I went back into the kitchen for a few minutes so she could take some pictures. Both of us reported hearing a “bell” or “chime” and I got the same feeling of the hand on my forehead.
Nate then joined us and indicated that we should start collecting our equipment while Tim and the owners and employees present went to the basement to discuss the possible existence of another room below the basement that may have been concreted over.
We then broke down the equipment and concluded our investigation.
