Welcome...

Welcome to the Hastings Paranormal Team Web site. We are a paranormal group located in historic Hastings Minnesota.

HPT is proud to announce that we are celebrating our third anniversary of the organization. HPT has come a long way since we were first a group of five neighbors sitting down together thinking about the concept of creating a paranormal team.

Along the way we have lost some good members to include all of the founding members except for Judy and Tim. Rich, one of the first new members to join our team, has been with us most of the three years we have been around. Juli and Erin joined us about two years ago and their contributions to the team have been unbelievable. Beside bringing their enthusiasm and unique abilities to the team, they have also served as goodwill ambassadors and our primary intake and interview team. Their tireless efforts to assist with the administrative duties and willingness to be leaders on investigations have allowed Judy and Tim the opportunity to step back and concentrate on more of the "back office" duties.

Josh, Erin's son has been with us about 18 months and his interest in the "techie" end has allowed HPT the luxury of having not only someone document investigations for the team, but he also brings with him the gift of sensitivity which gives him a keen insight into "what" may be going while documenting vigils.

Kevin and Andrea, part time investigators have also been with us about 18months. Andrea, an acquaintance of Juli, is also a sensitive. Being part time, Andrea is not as active as the other full time members, but that has never stopped her from contributing anything less then 100% on the investigations she has been a part of. Kevin, an admitted skeptic has helped balance the team out by having an uncanny knack for stepping back and offering alternative viewpoints that others may overlook.

Mark, our newest member has brought new enthusiasm to the team. Not only does he have the desire to try and find some answers like the rest of us, he is patient in his approach and is not afraid to ask more tenured members for advice.

We have also had the pleasure of getting to know and form friendships with others in the field. Larry and Sparky of S.C.I.P.P. have kept in touch with HPT and have continued to grow as an organization. A little closer to home, Sanity Check Paranormal in Cottage Grove MN and Moondance Paranormal in the Stacy/Intro area of MN have collaborated with HPT on some investigations in the recent past and continue to look for opportunities to work together again in the future. Both Ken with SCP and Steve with MDP have worked tirelessly to build good, solid, reputable organizations that we are proud to be associated with. Another team, Dakota County Paranormal also located in Hastings have chosen to take some time off. We look forward to them again becoming active in and around our area.

Others we have had the pleasure of getting know are Michael and Hector of W.I.M.P.S. based in the Milwaukee area and IPRA led by Jacqui Carpenter from the state of Iowa.

As we look to the future we are dedicating ourselves to continue to provide our clients with the most professional service we can, present them with any and all evidence, and assuring them that we will always be there for valued clients to offer professional advice, follow up visits or investigations if they so desire. Our clients satisfaction has always and will continue to be our top priority.

Investigation News...

HPT has now posted and investigation that was conducted in St Cloud MN. in March of this year. The residents reported hearing footsteps, seeing shadows, and unusual odors in the basement area. HPT was contacted via our team cell phone not only because of these incidents but also because of attacks that seemed directed at one individual residing in the home.

Juli and Erin went to the clients residence, interviewed the clients, got the preliminary ground work laid, and scheduled an investigation.

To review the findings on this investigation, please go to our "Investigations" page...

The Villisca Iowa Ax Murder House...

Villisca Iowa was the destination for HPT this past June. This small quiet southwestern Iowa town was the scene of a horrific crime committed on June 10th 1912. During the early morning hours Josiah and Sarah Moore, their children Herman 11, Katherine 9, Boyd 7 and Paul 5 along with two friends who spent the night, Lena Stillinger age 12 and Ina Stillinger age 8 were brutally murdered with an ax. It is thought the brutality of this act has left an indelible mark on the house itself, the only remaining survivor of that night.

In December 2007 Erin traveled down to Villisca at the invitation of I.P.R.A. to be a part of a television taping for WE cable channel. After her return home the team began planning a trip to investigate the house. At the time, little thought was placed on the day we reserved until much later when it was discovered that HPT had reserved it on the anniversary of the murders. As it turned out, team members got more then they expected from the night spent here. And to some, experiences that they will never forget.

News and Events...

HPT continues to have frequent communications with Ken of Sanity Check Paranormal and Steve with Moondance Paranormal. Future collaborative efforts are being pursued to include possibly getting all three organizations together at a casual event to meet and get to know each other on a more personal level.

We have also been in contact with another newly formed team in southwestern Minnesota. Paranormal Research and Investigations Midwest Area is the name of the newly formed team. The team currently has three members Greg, Jody and Devin. Greg and Jody are husband and wife and have been investigating the paranormal for 4 years because of an experience Jody had. They now are forming their own team to begin more organized investigation and ready to delve more into the research aspect of the paranormal.

It's primary goal was to gather together women in the paranormal field to share their experiences with each other, participate in investigations within the town, and listen to some notable speakers. Among the guest speakers were Jacqui Carpenter, Psychic-Medium, Phyllis Galde, Editor in Chief for FATE Magazine, Kristy Hinkle, Steve LaChance and Patrick Burns to name a few.
